Dogs of War
Listen to "Dogs of War"
Throughout History, canines have been a vital element of warfare. In the early days of the Roman Empire, almost 2000 years ago, dogs were outfitted with armor and trained to attack the enemy. Great leaders like Fredrick the Great and Napoleon have also used wardogs in their military operations. And more recently, in the Civil War, WWI, WWII, and the Vietnam War, individual dogs have become so courageous that they have been reccomended for the Silver Star and countless Purple Hearts.
However, the wardog has become obsolete in the past few decades with the invention of superior weaponry and tactics. But still, organizations like "The National War Dogs Memorial Project" are trying to preserve K-9 history.

Greetings!
Haven't listened yet, but it sounds interesting. One thing I did note, though, is that iTunes can't seem to find the Dogs of War or M16 episodes, the 1st 2 in the feed. Your link on the page points to a different location than the rss feed does. Not a big deal; I can always rab the episode and listen, but it'd be nice to be able to keep them all organized in my iPod's podcast folder....
Oi! It's worse than I thought. I can't get anything older than 2006-10-29 in iTunes....
Where did you find it? Interesting read »
Pretty good job except one flaw.
Stubby and the other "Bull Terrier" that you mention as Dogs of War were in fact American Pit Bull Terriers.

if you look at a picture of a Pit Bull and a Bull Terrier you will see a clear difference. The Bull Terrier wasn't even a breed until 1974 (per AKC)
Pit Bull need the good press so make you give credit where credit is due!
